Job Description:

Are you a passionate Java Developer looking to make a significant impact in the world of banking technology? CITY Bank is seeking an Applications Development Programmer Analyst to join our dynamic team in Pune, India. As an intermediate level position, you will play a crucial role in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs, working closely with our Technology team. Your objective will be to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Responsibilities:

- Utilize your expertise in applications development procedures and concepts, along with a basic understanding of other technical areas, to identify and define necessary system enhancements.

- Analyze and identify issues, make recommendations, and implement effective solutions.

- Draw upon your knowledge of business processes, system processes, and industry standards to tackle complex issues.

- Make evaluative judgments and recommendations for solutions and improvements, based on in-depth information analysis.

- Conduct testing, debugging, and utilize script tools to write basic code for design specifications.

- Assess the applicability of past experiences and evaluate options for unique circumstances not covered by standard procedures.

- Develop a strong working knowledge of Citi's information systems, procedures, and standards, encompassing client-server application development, network operations, database administration, systems administration, data center operations, and PC-based applications.

- Demonstrate a keen sense of risk assessment in business decision-making, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations while safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets.


Qualifications:

- 0-2 years of relevant experience in programming/debugging used in business applications.

- A working knowledge of industry practices, standards, and program languages.

- Comprehensive knowledge of a specific business area for application development.

- Consistent demonstration of clear and concise written and verbal communication.


Education:

- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
